Building a Cell Membrane

Purpose: To construct a model of the cell membrane and distinguish the different roles of each component.

Procedure:

1.    Using the materials list above, construct a model of the cell membrane by gluing each of the components in the CORRECT positions on a piece of construction paper. Use the diagram given to you in class or the picture of the cell membrane from your book as a reference. NOTE: All of the components must be in your model.

2.    Label each of the components in your model.

3.    Label the inside and outside of the cell
